What is DATAX?

  • It is a company specialized in managing, processing, updating, and leveraging statistical data in any format to develop high value added tools for our clients and for society, driving knowledge generation and better decision making.

How was DATAX created?

  • DATAX was founded in 2004, when our founder who at the time was an executive at a financial institution identified a major need shared by other professionals like him: access to up-to-date statistical data, along with the challenge posed by the lack of tools to effectively leverage the public statistical data available in the country. That was when DATAX emerged as a business dream.It took us five years to develop our Analyze software, after which we began acquiring our first clients. In 2011, the company was formally established to meet the requirements imposed by the financial system on its providers. Since then and to this day, we have developed a set of solutions unique in Bolivia, and we are proud to serve the most selective client portfolio in the country.

Where is DATAX located?

What is the DATAX Bolivia platform?

  • It is the interface of our Bolivia Open Data Dissemination Program (PDDAB). Its mission is to be the place on the internet where the public can access all public databases in the country processed by DATAX, as well as our indicators and reports.

Who can use the databases on the DATAX Bolivia platform?

  • All students, researchers, and professionals both employed and independent who wish to access the country’s statistical data in various formats to analyze, process, or conduct studies based on that data.

What types of indicators are available on the DATAX Bolivia platform, and what is their purpose?

  • There are various types of up-to-date indicators available across the following areas: foreign trade, economy, stock market, hydrocarbons, loan portfolios, public deposits, financial system interest rates, exchange rates, GDP, electricity, among many others. Their purpose is to provide precise data for a specific point in time, always reflecting the most recent available information.

Who are the reports intended for?

  • They are aimed at enthusiasts and professionals whose interests, activities, or expertise are focused on the sectors covered by these reports, such as economy, banking, finance, securities, insurance, and others.

What is the DATAX News platform?

  • It is the place where you will find diverse and trending content, such as articles, infographics, research papers, and more. For example, the articles cover current topics that are trending at both national and international levels, mostly related to economic, financial, and technological fields. Our content is characterized by being objective, politically neutral, and supported by data from reliable sources.

What is the DATAX Academy platform?

  • It is an interface that allows our clients and users to receive training and obtain certifications in the use of all our tools, such as SPIM Public, SHAM, SHAF, SIC, and others.

What is the DIKW knowledge hierarchy?

  • Data, Information, Knowledge, and Wisdom (DIKW) refers to the hierarchy of knowledge and represents the stages of the knowledge acquisition process. Initially, there are only isolated data points, but through different levels of processing, they are transformed into information, then into knowledge, and ultimately into wisdom.

How does the DIKW knowledge hierarchy relate to DATAX’s solutions?

  • DATAX has five business lines that cover the different levels of the knowledge pyramid:

    These are raw, unprocessed data, corresponding to statistical data from various public and/or private information sources.
  • Information
    hese are processed data that have been transformed into information. The DX Stats business line offers already processed statistical data—that is, relevant information that can be used to conduct studies, analyses, and further data processing.
  • Knowledge
    DATAX has three business lines that generate knowledge:
    DX Tools is a set of high value-added solutions and tools built on advanced processing and expertise, generating specialized knowledge.
    DX Reporting consists of detailed reports across different areas and topics, developed through extensive prior processing and delivering highly specific insights.
    DX Magazine is a pioneer in creating sector-focused magazines, 100% powered by artificial intelligence and innovative technology, generating knowledge for its readers.

What content does the DX Reporting business line offer?

  • We’ve developed the most comprehensive and up to date reports on Deposits and Loans, as well as Banking Financial Indicators. We’re also developing several additional reports that help drive knowledge generation.

What content does the DX Magazine business line offer?

  • Currently, the magazines we produce and distribute focus on the Foreign Trade sector imports and exports and we’re also working on magazines covering other topics, such as the healthcare sector.
